The biggest race car maker in the UK, Radical Motorsport, has unveiled an improved SR1 vehicle for the entry level market. A two-seater with semi-slick tyres, the SR1 was released in 2012 as a starting point for racers wishing to advance their track time. The new SR1 XXR qualifies for Radical’s single-marque international race series.
Specifications

The revised model has a new Generation 5 liquid-cooled, four-cylinder, 16-valve, 1,340 cc engine that can produce 199 horsepower and 120 pound-feet of torque. Warm-up time has been shortened, and thermal management has been improved to keep you on the track for longer thanks to its efficient, dependable, and long-lasting design. A new drive-by-wire induction system is also available, and oil change intervals have been increased from six to ten hours.
